Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition where areas of redness appear on the face and may include small red bumps on your nose, cheeks, forehead and\/or chin.<\/p>\n

Getting treatment can help your skin look and feel better and it may keep your rosacea from getting worse. While there is no cure, most people can control their symptoms and keep the disease from getting worse with treatment. For mild rosacea, your provider may prescribe a topical cream or gel that is applied to the skin to reduce flushing\/ redness. Some topical medications reduce flushing by constricting blood vessels. They provide temporary relief and need to be reapplied regularly to maintain results. There are also topical medications to treat the pimples that occur with mild rosacea<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Your provider may prescribe an oral antibiotic for moderate to severe rosacea with bumps and pimples. If you have severe rosacea that doesn’t respond to other therapies<\/span>, your doctor may suggest a more powerful oral acne drug that also <\/span>helps clear up acne-like lesions.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What can I expect during a BBL procedure?<\/b><\/p>\n

  • Your eyes will be protected with safety shield glasses. Usually there is no need for anesthetic but your provider may use one on more sensitive areas. You may feel a quick, warm sensation while the light is absorbed into the targeted areas. The procedure may take anywhere from a few minutes to a half hour. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
