Earlobe Piercing

Earlobe Piercing
Earlobe piercing involves creating a small hole through the soft lower part of the ear (the lobe) to insert jewelry, such as a stud. Here’s how it typically works:
Preparation
- The piercer cleans the earlobe with an antiseptic.
- They mark the spot to be pierced with a surgical pen for alignment.
Piercing
- With a piercing gun (common in mall kiosks): A spring-loaded device forces a stud through the lobe.
- Pain level: Minimal- often described as a quick pinch.
- Jewelry Insertion
- A starter stud (usually hypoallergenic like surgical steel, titanium, or gold) is immediately inserted to keep the hole open.
Aftercare
- The person must clean the piercing twice daily.
- Avoid touching or rotating the jewelry excessively.
- Healing usually takes 6–8 weeks.
Medical ear piercing at Stellis Health Medical Skin Care Center is known as “modern aseptic technique” and is carried out using sterile disposable products. This means that our products and methods are safely designed in order to avoid the spreading of infections when piercing.
