Insurance Specialist

Stellis Health is seeking a full-time Insurance Specialist to join our practice.

The Insurance Specialist will work as part of the Business Office team and be responsible for the timely and accurate billing of dedicated patient accounts; including Workers’ Compensation, Auto, and Medical Assistance cases. This role will have significant phone contact with patients, payers, and attorneys.

Duties will include; claims submission, verifying insurance coverage, billing and collecting accounts receivable, posting payments, data entry, working denials, customer service, and correspondence/communication with patients and payers.

Qualifications: High School diploma, 1-3 years of medical business office experience, strong math aptitude, knowledge of medical terminology/coding, excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills, and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality are required.

Business Office Director

Stellis Health, P.A. is hiring an experienced Business Office Director to join our practice.

The Business Office Director is responsible for the oversight of the medical business office, patient registration, and health information management (HIM) departments. Ensures efficient operations of all aspects of the revenue cycle management process, medical coding and billing, insurance claim processing, patient access, and health information management functions. This position will have an active role in the negotiation and management of third party payer contracts.

Essential Responsibilities: Directs strategic operations of business office, patient registration, and HIM departments; ensures compliance with regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies and third party payers; creates financial reports and provides data analysis; actively participates in the organization’s committee structures, personnel management, and policy development and implementation.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare Management, or Business and a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in health care business office operations required. Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills are a must. Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills are required as well as the ability to prioritize and multitask. Experience with EPIC is preferred.

Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)-Urgent Care

Stellis Health, P.A. is hiring full-time Medical Assistants for our Buffalo and Monticello Urgent Care clinics.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Rooms patients and assists with patient transportation needs
  • Provides basic nursing duties including; vital signs, injections and immunizations, and specimen collections
  • Phlebotomy skills and ability to perform basic labs; including urine dips, CBC’s, Accuchecks, quick strep, Kit testing
  • Records patient medical history
  • Assists with office procedures
  • Assists with coordination of patient flow and scheduling
  • Works with providers, nurses and patients to resolve questions related to medications, health education and medical advice within skill level and scope of practice
  • Records and maintains documentation of patient and physician communications
  • Retrieves phone messages and responds to patient calls in a timely manner
  • Submits new prescription requests as needed
  • Updates patient charts and transcribes information into EMR
  • Administers prescribed medications as needed
  • Maintains exam rooms for supplies and materials
  • Maintains patient confidentiality

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Current Registered or Certified Medical Assistant degree/credential
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing/medical assisting experience in urgent care and lab setting
Experience with Epic preferred

Schedule:

4 days/week 12-8pm

E/O weekend Friday 12-8pm & Sat/Sun 8am-4pm

RN, Triage

Stellis Health, P.A. has a full time RN, Triage position available.

The R.N., Triage position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. This position will serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinical staff. R.N. position will delegate appropriate duties to LPN/MA staff within scope of practice.

Duties include: triage incoming patient phone calls, initiate outbound calls to patients regarding test results and follow up care coordination, receive and process refill requests and prior authorizations, monitor provider in-baskets, obtain and submit lab orders, and serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information and patient assessment.

Qualifications: R.N. degree from an accredited school of nursing, current Minnesota R.N. license, CPR certification, and a minimum of one year professional nursing experience in a clinical setting are required. Previous triage experience is strongly preferred.

Stellis Health, PA is hiring full-time (40 hours/week) Medical Assistants and LPNs. Day shifts with one evening shift per week are available at our Buffalo, Monticello, and Albertville-St. Michael clinic locations.
