Position Summary: Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for providing basic patient care tasks and administrative support under the direction of an LPN or RN.

 Essential Functions  

  • Room patients
  • Perform and record patient vitals
  • Collect specimen samples
  • Support patient ambulation needs
  • Assist with patient refill requests
  • Retrieve phone messages and respond to patient calls in a timely manner
  • Complete necessary paperwork as ordered by provider
  • Update patient chart and transcribe information into EMR

Education/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required

Position Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting operations for Stellis Health. The Staff Accountant ensures effective and efficient delivery of services and accurate and timely transaction, payable, and reporting outcomes. 

 Essential Functions  

  • Manages accounts payable transactions with the support of an Accounts Payable Representative.
  • Manages non-patient accounts receivable transactions.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
  • Prepares and reviews general ledger entries to ensure proper posting.
  • Prepares financial statements and reports.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Performs account reconciliations.
  • Processes expense reimbursement transactions.
  • Processes check runs.
  • Responsible for daily banking activities.
  • Collaborates with payroll.

Education/Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting required, BA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office Suite, accounting software, and database applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and utilize critical thinking skills.

Position Summary:  The Coding Specialist is responsible for reviewing both electronic and written documentation of clinical visits and assigning accurate diagnostic and procedural coding using ICD-10 and CPT – 4 methodologies.  

Essential Functions

  • Reviews provider documentation and assign codes that support service rendered.
  • Supports business office staff with claim denial appeals.
  • Monitors payer coding requirements to ensure billing compliance.
  • Serves as a point of contact for providers that have coding questions.
  • Performs level of service audits on random providers as assigned by Business Director.
  • Responds to patient inquiries that pertain to coding questions/disputes.
  • Keeps current on work queue assignments in EMR practice management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of medical insurance claim process, provider billing, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and HIPAA 
  • Understanding of payer contracts and compliance regulations
  • Strong investigative, information gathering, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 1-3 years of medical business office experience 
  • Successful completion of a coding program (AAPC/AHIMA)

Position Summary: Radiologic Technologists are responsible for providing general imaging and mammography services for our patients in a safe and compassionate manner.

Essential Functions

  • Greet and prepare patients for procedures
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Position patient and adjust equipment appropriately to obtain accurate images

Position Summary:  The Insurance Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of dedicated patient accounts.

Essential Functions

  • Process, edit, and submit claims to insurance companies and other payers.
  • Verification of patient insurance coverage.
  • Track and collect accounts receivable.
  • Calculate insurance payments, patient payments, and adjustments to accounts.
  • Process and post payments.
  • Communication and correspondence with insurance carriers and other payers to ensure timely billing and follow up on unpaid claims.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve billing, collection, and reimbursement issues.
  • Correct and resubmit claims for processing.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of medical insurance claim process, provider billing
  • Understanding of payer contracts and compliance regulations
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, ICD-9 and/or ICD-10, co-pays, insurance deductibles and co-insurance. 
  • Strong investigative, information gathering, problem-solving and mathematical skills.
