What to Expect at Your SkinPen Appointment
Before: We start with a consultation to talk about your goals. Maybe you’re tired of covering acne scars with makeup, or you’ve noticed more lines on your neck than you’d like. We’ll look at your skin and make sure SkinPen is a good fit.
Numbing: Numbing cream goes on first and sits for about 30 minutes.
Treatment: We clean your skin and set the needle depth for your skin’s needs. The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. A full face visit runs about an hour.
After: Your skin may look pink, like a mild sunburn, for a day or two. Most people get back to normal activities within 24 hours. Stay out of the sun afterward. We’ll let you know for how long.
Your plan: Most people need a series of treatments about four weeks apart, then maintenance visits. We’ll build a plan around your goals.

What does SkinPen treat?
SkinPen is FDA-cleared to improve the appearance of facial acne scars in adults 22 and older of all skin types, and neck wrinkles in skin types II to IV.
Is microneedling good for acne scars?

How many treatments will I need?

Who shouldn’t get SkinPen?
SkinPen may not be right for you if you have active acne, a skin infection, skin cancer, a bleeding disorder, or an allergy to stainless steel or numbing medicine. It also isn’t recommended during pregnancy, or if you take isotretinoin or have taken it in the last six months.
How much does it cost?
