Meet OB/GYN Dr. Danielle Schirm
“I love empowering women! I went into medicine after finding an interest in preventative medicine and I believe that our daily health translates to longevity of health. I enjoy helping women through all aspects of life and strive to care for all my patients as if they were my sister or mother.”

[00:00:00] Danielle Schirm: I’m Dr. Danielle Schirm. I work at Stellis Health at our Monticello location. I’m an ob gyn, which means that I help women through pregnancy, but also all of their other women’s health concerns. I have a strong interest in infertility and helping people conceive due to my own history and personal story, which means that I help people through conceiving and then through their pregnancy, both normal and high risk.
[00:00:26] Danielle Schirm: And then also through their delivery as well. So vaginal delivery as well as cesarean birth. Additionally, I do all types of GYN or gynecology surgery, and that can be anything from fertility surgery to ovarian cyst to hysterectomy and anything else that entails. I love my job because it’s diverse.
[00:00:49] Danielle Schirm: From a medical standpoint. We do clinic work, we do hospital procedures, we do office procedures, we do labor and delivery and then also have surgical time [00:01:00] every week. And so there’s lots of complexity to that, but it also keeps life very interesting. I also love that I can follow people through from a very young age until older age. So there’s lots of continuity of care.
[00:01:14] Danielle Schirm: I think patients would describe me as kind and compassionate. A doctor with a listening ear. Someone who’s not going to rush them through their visit. I have a little boy that took me many years to have and he is the light of my life. I also have a husband I’ve been with since we were 13 years old, and so we like to spend time together outdoors either on a bicycle or walking or being with our dog on the beach out on our boat. Any of those things.
