[00:00:00] Pete Waggoner: Hi there and welcome to Beyond the Checkup, brought to you by Stellis Health. Where Neighbors Care for Neighbors. I’m Pete Wagner, ready to guide you to a healthier, happier life. Today we’re here to inspire, explore, and help you thrive in your health journey.

[00:00:14] So let’s dive in right now as we’re joined by two great people here at Stellis South in Buffalo, Dr. Natalie Roeser and Carlie Kabila. Carlie, of course, your advanced aesthetician. Is that how I say that? Yes. Or code for skincare specialist. Is that good? Yes. Yep. That’s correct. And then Dr. Roeser, you obviously have a great resume and it’s, it’s quite long.

[00:00:36] And let’s start with you and learn more about you.

[00:00:39] Natalie Roeser, MD: Thank you. Thank you. Yes. My name is Dr. Natalie Roeser. I have been at Stellis Health in general for 14 years and with the skincare center the entire 14 years and I’ve been really lucky that I’ve gotten to practice, full spectrum family medicine, and one day a week I spend exclusively at our skincare center doing really fun things.

[00:00:57] Both medical and cosmetic [00:01:00] dermatology. I love doing it. I love my job and I’m so happy to be here.

[00:01:03] Pete Waggoner: Isn’t it amazing to do something when you wake up in the morning, you look forward to going? You do. Not Many people get to say that

[00:01:09] Natalie Roeser, MD: I do. Yes, I love what I do. I get to work with some really awesome coworkers, but also I love all my patients.

[00:01:16] They’re wonderful people. I live in this community. It’s fun to work here. And take care of the people who are coaching my kids in sports or teaching them or that I see out at Target every day.

[00:01:27] Pete Waggoner: And then, for you, Carlie how did your journey get us here to Stellis Health?

[00:01:31] Carlie Kobilka: I finished school in February of 2024. I’ve been working in the industry ever since. I was working at a meds spa, Edina for a little bit, and then I switched over to Stellis Health Medical Skincare Center in the beginning of December.

[00:01:44] I love. The industry so much. I love talking to my patients and addressing their concerns by a customizable skincare routine, and also services as well.

[00:01:55] Pete Waggoner: Okay. I’m gonna follow up with a question real quick. Okay. When you started your [00:02:00] academic journey, did you know you wanted to get into skincare or skin health?

[00:02:03] Carlie Kobilka: I didn’t know right away. I took my first year off of school just to try to figure out exactly what I wanted to do. I was job shadowing in that year.

[00:02:12] And then I had a friend that was going to school to be an aesthetician and we would chat about it and I ended up going to the school to tour and fell in love the second I walked in there. So, and

[00:02:22] Pete Waggoner: here you are.

[00:02:23] Carlie Kobilka: Yes.

[00:02:24] Pete Waggoner: Dr. Roeser. What are some of the services that you provided? I know we’re gonna focus mm-hmm.

[00:02:30] Mostly on the laser. Part of it.

[00:02:32] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah.

[00:02:32] Pete Waggoner: But from your perspective, what are some of the key highlights that you wanna

[00:02:36] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yes, sure. Well, Pete, like you said, the laser is our newest baby, but we do so much in the skincare center. So on the medical side, we do a lot, we do full skin checks, we do specific lesion checks.

[00:02:50] We excise both benign and malignant, so skin cancers as well. We take care of chronic skin problems, eczema, psoriasis, things like [00:03:00] that. We diagnose and treat every type of rash you can imagine. We treat acne multiple different ways. We treat acne with medications, oral medications, topicals, laser treatments.

[00:03:11] Mm-hmm. Carlie’s gonna talk about those a little bit more. We even do Accutane. So those are kind of the big things we do. Just about everything a dermatologist would do, except for we don’t do Mohs procedures and we don’t use biologics to treat more aggressive types of skin conditions. But pretty much all of the physicians and the PAs who work with us treat just about every skin condition right now.

[00:03:34] So it’s pretty awesome.

[00:03:35] Pete Waggoner: Sounds like, name it and you do it.

[00:03:37] Natalie Roeser, MD: Absolutely. All right. And we’ll try it at least for sure.

[00:03:41] Another big part of what the Skin Center does that’s outside of the medical dermatology. Part of it is the cosmetic dermatology. This is all about helping people look their best too. Carlie was our newest addition to help us with that. We do Botox, so neurotoxins, we do fillers like [00:04:00] Juvederm. And we do numerous laser treatments and Carlie’s gonna expand more on the cosmetic part of what we do.

[00:04:06] She does a lot of it other than injectables and some of the laser treatments, which the physicians do.

[00:04:11] Pete Waggoner: Do you have like demographics? Is it skewed more male to female? Female to male age groups?

[00:04:18] Natalie Roeser, MD: So right now we see all ages for cosmetics. Usually it’s, it’s even some of the teenagers are coming in for cosmetic acne treatments, but then we see twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, seventies. . For other types of skin treatments so that people can feel their best. We definitely see more women than men, but I have plenty of couples that come in for couples Botox.

[00:04:38] So it’s couples. Couples Botox. Yeah. Amazing.

[00:04:42] Couples and Botox together stay together. Okay,

[00:04:44] Pete Waggoner: let’s go. Okay, so Carlie, now what? What services are offered? To cosmetically help skin,

[00:04:51] Carlie Kobilka: I offer a variety of cosmetic services to address specific skincare issues with the face.

[00:04:57] Every 28 days, your skin goes through a new [00:05:00] shedding phase, and so it’s really important to get advanced exfoliations. Every four to six weeks is recommended to help your skin look youthful and glowy and stay young. I offer four different types of advanced exfoliations. Crystal micro derma abrasion, which is an exfoliation for the skin. It gently just scrapes against the top layer of skin at the same time , it’s going to spray microscopic crystals, and as it flicks at the skin, it’s going to exfoliate the dead skin off of the top layer

[00:05:29] what does that feel like? Kind of like a cat licking you seriously? Yeah, yeah, like sandpaper. Sandpaper. It’s not, it’s not

[00:05:36] Pete Waggoner: terrible, but you can feel the process where it’s. I guess removing or finishing the process. Yep.

[00:05:43] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah. It’s noninvasive, so it doesn’t, it doesn’t hurt at all. It shouldn’t hurt at least.

[00:05:47] And the deeper you go with any of these treatments, the more painful it’s gonna be. Yeah. Yep. And then. I also offer chemical peels. We have a couple different chemical peels here. We offer [00:06:00] skin medical peels. There’s two different types, vitalize and rejuvenate. One is more superficial, so it’s going to just exfoliate the top layer of skin and one’s going to go a little bit deeper into the skin and exfoliate a bit deeper.

[00:06:13] We always recommend that you start off with a more superficial peel

[00:06:16] Pete Waggoner: Like just as a. A dude, it sounds like that would be hard, is it not? Like, can, can you dispel that myth that I have in my mind?

[00:06:27] Natalie Roeser, MD: Great question. I bring my husband in every so often when we’ve got something new and I wanna try it on, on a man’s skin, right?

[00:06:33] Just because they have beards and stuff like that. Uhhuh. It works great. Mm-hmm. They have good results. They usually like it more because they’re not taking care of their skin like a lot of women are. And, and getting all those dead layers off, whether you’re doing a chemical peel or whether you’re doing a laser treatment.

[00:06:51] Men love it too.

[00:06:52] Does he look younger?

[00:06:54] Natalie Roeser, MD: He looks pretty young. Yeah.

[00:06:55] No, but a hundred percent right? Yeah. And, okay, go ahead. Sorry.

[00:06:59] Carlie Kobilka: No, [00:07:00] he comes in for a good amount of services. Mm-hmm. I think the, the name, the chemical peel is just a little like scary and intimidating to people. Right. That’s why I asked.

[00:07:08] It’s really just in a, it’s a chemical solution. There’s multiple different forms but it’s applied to the skin and essentially all the different ingredients are a combination to address specific concerns of the skin. So glycolic acid, super good for helping to exfoliate deeper so it’ll help with fine lines and wrinkles.

[00:07:28] Salicylic acid’s really good for anyone with acneic skin, and so we always recommend, coming in for chemical peels with like salicylic acid if they were concerned with acne. But I think it’s just the name. It’s really just. It’s a pretty easy procedure. You just come in, get your face cleansed, and then you’ll feel some mild tingling throughout, but overall it’s not painful.

[00:07:50] Pete Waggoner: How about derma planning?

[00:07:51] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah, so that’s new here. We just started offering that. Super exciting. It’s an exfoliation of the top layer of skin. It’s really good for fine [00:08:00] lines and wrinkles, and it’s also really, really good if you want that good glow.

[00:08:03] Don’t

[00:08:04] we all?

[00:08:04] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah. So I always recommend doing that before a big event, like, a wedding or just any like big event. Yeah. It’ll help with your makeup. How, how long

[00:08:14] Pete Waggoner: does the glow last after that procedure?

[00:08:16] Carlie Kobilka: Well, you’re supposed to get it every four to six weeks, so, so about a month, month

[00:08:20] Pete Waggoner: and

[00:08:20] Carlie Kobilka: a half?

[00:08:20] Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And then. I, it’s essentially a sterile blade attached to a handle, and you’re gently going to scrape against the top layer of skin and it’s just gonna get off all that excess dirt and oil and dead skin off the top layer. And then it’s also gonna give you the benefit of that peach fuzz removal that everyone hates seeing glistening in the sun.

[00:08:41] So

[00:08:42] Pete Waggoner: Is it half hour, hour? How long does this process take?

[00:08:44] Carlie Kobilka: They depend, but usually around 30 to 45

[00:08:47] Natalie Roeser, MD: minutes. Okay. Not, not

[00:08:48] Pete Waggoner: terrible. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:08:49] Natalie Roeser, MD: Most of the time when people are coming in, we can get in and out here in an hour less.

[00:08:53] Mm-hmm. Obviously, it depends on what type of procedure you’re doing. Right. Some more, more aggressive treatments will take a little bit longer, but [00:09:00] this isn’t a half day or a full day commitment. This can be. Hey, come in and see us for your lunch break and we’ll make you look beautiful. That’s awesome.

[00:09:07] Yeah.

[00:09:07] Pete Waggoner: Really? Okay. Diamond glow, is that part of the glow you’re talking about or is that different?

[00:09:11] Carlie Kobilka: That’s different. What is it? So it’s a form of derma abrasion. It’s a non-invasive treatment that’s going to gently just. Scrape the top layer of skin at the same time as it’s gently scraping against the top layer of skin.

[00:09:23] It’s also exfoliating. It’s extracting and it also is pressing a customizable serum into the skin. So, for example, if someone came in and they had very dry skin and they were concerned with it we would do a hyaluronic acid serum. This is gonna help hydrate their skin while they’re in, while also getting the benefit of that good exfoliation

[00:09:43] Pete Waggoner: you do some facials too? Mm-hmm. There’s one here for me ’cause I’m not getting any younger. Anti-aging among others, acne and the brightening facial.

[00:09:51] Carlie Kobilka: Yep.

[00:09:52] Pete Waggoner: Can you do that as well? Yeah.

[00:09:53] Carlie Kobilka: So we just started offering those very, very excited to bring those on. So it’s a combination of all the advanced [00:10:00] exfoliations and then there’s also a form of lymphatic drainage in there, which is going to remove toxins and inflammation from the face. And then I do a. More of a lifting firming massage for the anti-aging facial. More of a gentle massage on the acne facial just because their skin might just be a little bit more sensitive within pain points.

[00:10:20] Yeah. Yeah. And then after that we’ll do some sort of like mask, and then there’s a choice of a scalp and hand in arm massage depending on what the client wants. What is CoolSculpting? CoolSculpting is sounds

[00:10:32] cool.

[00:10:33] Carlie Kobilka: It’s a non-invasive procedure that’s intended to break down fat cells. It’s a really, really good procedure for anyone who is at their ideal weight, but they have some stubborn fat that they just can’t get rid of.

[00:10:45] We find a lot, it’s a popular area, the lower abdomen, and the upper abdomen. People just have that stubborn pinchable fat that they just can’t get rid of. We recommend you come in for a series of about six, but it does depend and it is completely customizable to each [00:11:00] person’s. Body. So yeah, we always recommend to come in for a consultation first.

[00:11:05] Pete Waggoner: Why is a consistent skincare routine key for a healthy skin life?

[00:11:12] Carlie Kobilka: I think that that’s one of the most important things when you are paying so much for, laser treatments and facials and advanced exfoliations. Because it’s going to help your skin long term.

[00:11:23] In between treatments, it’s kind of like, if you were to. Not study for a test and just expect to get a hundred percent on it. You kind of have to work for it. Yeah. You can’t just show up and expect,

[00:11:35] Pete Waggoner: or if you have a car Sure. Putting in it’s good. But you need to change U oil, right.

[00:11:39] To keep it really efficient. Right. Yes. Natalie, good stuff. Very, I learned more here in these past few minutes than I ever would’ve imagined in this world. And you dispelled some myths, and I don’t wanna say fears, but. Thoughts that I had about some terms and things, which is super cool. Mm-hmm. So, Dr.

[00:11:57] Roeser, let’s talk about cosmetic [00:12:00] injectables and, and those types of things. If you can kind of take us through that. I, I, and we’re thinking probably more from the laser perspective, correct?

[00:12:07] Natalie Roeser, MD: Well, the cosmetic injectables are a little bit different than the laser. Okay. So we do multiple different types of injectables and we’ve all had, all of us who do the injectables.

[00:12:16] So it would be the doctors and the physician assistants. Have had extensive training in this. Botox is the most popular. That’s a neurotoxin that temporarily paralyzes some of the muscles in your face to get rid of. Static wrinkles and dynamic wrinkles. It usually takes about two weeks, one to two weeks for it to kick in last for three to four months.

[00:12:35] People love it. It is the new thing. I tell people all the time doing Botox is like dying your hair was maybe 20, 30 years ago. Like everybody did it, but nobody talked about it. And now Botox is just one of those things that’s part of people’s regular routine to take care of their skin and to help them look.

[00:12:52] Younger and happier really. Fillers are a little bit more aggressive. They are becoming very, very popular as well. We do [00:13:00] fillers in the nasal labial fold, so kind of around your mouth and the marionette lines right underneath your, around your chin. And in your lip, that’s probably the most common and in the cheeks and that just adds volume where it’s naturally lost from losing weight.

[00:13:15] And from getting older are the two most common reasons we do it. And that was usually last, anywhere from six plus months on average fell will last nine to 12 months.

[00:13:24] Pete Waggoner: So is that an example of the, the skin and let’s say as you get when people get older and lose weight? Yeah. There’s nowhere for it to go.

[00:13:31] Exactly. So what this does is this kind of balances you out. Is that correct?

[00:13:35] Natalie Roeser, MD: It fills in where you have natural volume loss. From, from aging or from losing weight, or you just have really strong lines from Right.

[00:13:41] Smiling a lot, talking a lot that happens. Being focused on the forehead and being focused on the forehead. Yes, yes. I was like that too. When I started medical school. All I did was put my head down and study, and so I had these intense problems. Isn’t that funny how that works though? Yeah. Well, I don’t have ’em anymore.

[00:13:58] Put it that way. You look great. Thank you. [00:14:00] That’s amazing. Thank you.

[00:14:01] Pete Waggoner: What about the other things there, there’s a mention where you speak of being forever young and, and, and getting into that world. Can you speak on that?

[00:14:08] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yes. So that is our newest baby. All of that, what you’re talking about is our laser.

[00:14:13] So we have a brand new. State-of-the-art Sciton laser. We do lots and lots of different treatments with a laser. The Cadillac of laser treatments right now is called a halo. So a halo uses multiple different types of technology to resurface the skin and also to help build collagen underneath the skin to help plump up those areas.

[00:14:36] So hopefully you wouldn’t need as much filler or as much Botox. Like I said, this is the best Cadillac. Treatment for your face to help with anti-aging to prevent it, help with fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, that sort of thing. It can be a little, a little stingy. Like I said, the deeper we go the more it hurts.

[00:14:54] Mm-hmm. But we do numb people’s faces up if they want to for this,

[00:14:57] Pete Waggoner: what is, okay, so when you do that mm-hmm. [00:15:00] What is the after

[00:15:02] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Feel

[00:15:03] Pete Waggoner: effect? Like, do you look different for a little bit? Or what happens? So, great question.

[00:15:06] Natalie Roeser, MD: Mm-hmm. So the first few hours after you’ve had it done, usually your face feels really hot.

[00:15:11] Mm-hmm. It’s usually a little puffy and it’s very red. And over about three to five days, the redness goes down, the puffiness goes down, usually within a day or two. Mm-hmm. And then you have what are called mends, which is kind of like, almost like little kind of scabby stuff. You look like you have more freckles on your face mm-hmm.

[00:15:28] Is what it looks like. And that just kind of, that kind of naturally falls off over about a week. And then you have a nice, great glow to your skin. I gotta see and feel really good. I gotta

[00:15:38] Pete Waggoner: come in and do

[00:15:38] Natalie Roeser, MD: this. Yeah. It’s awesome. Seriously.

[00:15:40] Pete Waggoner: Do you do like a follow up then after that to see, make sure that what happens then?

[00:15:44] Natalie Roeser, MD: It’s totally up to the patient. We, we, any type of cosmetic treatment we have to customize to the person. Right. Based on what they like, what they need, what we feel like they need. It’s a, it’s a team effort. So people come in and say. What can you do? And we can offer things, but they can also come in and [00:16:00] say, this is what’s bothering me.

[00:16:01] Yeah. And we can help with that, whether it’s through injectables, whether it’s through facials with Carlie, whether it’s through laser treatments. Other thing our lasers can do is we have a BBL, which that helps red spots and brown spots. A lot of us have spent too much time in the sun and have kind of almost permanent brown spots.

[00:16:21] Our laser can help with that. We can work on redness from rosacea or other medical conditions. The laser can also help with that too. Acne treatments. Carlie does a lot of acne treatments with our laser too.

[00:16:33] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah. The forever Clear is the service that we offer with our BBL machine. It’s a really good service for anyone who has acne.

[00:16:44] The first step with it is going to use blue light to kill bacteria that’s present in the skin. And obviously when you have acne, that’s a big issue. The second part of that treatment is going to help with inflammation and swelling that’s in the face

[00:16:59] and then the [00:17:00] final step is skin tight. And so that’s gonna restore the skin’s barrier to help your skin. Just overall be healed with the acne. You, we recommend you come in every two weeks for a series of about five to six for best results.

[00:17:16] Pete Waggoner: In that regard, do you have some success stories you could share where like, whoa, this was like, almost changed your life for how they view themselves and how important that is?

[00:17:26] Do do, can the two of you share a couple things? Yeah.

[00:17:30] Natalie Roeser, MD: So one of the great things that we have with acne is there’s so many different options for treatment. Mm-hmm. Right? I’ve seen. People come in with pretty mild acne that wanna be more aggressive, that’s great. And some people with really severe acne that maybe aren’t committed to it.

[00:17:45] I’d say most of our great success stories involve multi-step processes. When we do the Accutane. Accutane is a, as a medication that’s highly regulated by the FDA and very complex process to start it. But we do that frequently [00:18:00] here and a lot of times it’s about a six month course after they get through Accutane, if they have any scars.

[00:18:05] A lot of times then we use our, our resurfacing laser. And we can do multiple different levels to really work on those scars after we’ve gotten rid of their acne and people are so happy. They’re so happy because not only have we gotten rid of their acne, but we’ve also helped them with their scars.

[00:18:21] And these are usually real young people . Who are really struggling with this. But we’ve also treated people with acne in their thirties and forties who have been struggling their whole life and didn’t really know what was available for treatment. Mm-hmm. So

[00:18:33] Pete Waggoner: from, from the scar perspective, like I work in the hockey business as well and I’ve got a ton of friends that have been carved up like a a pumpkin.

[00:18:41] Yeah. Can you fix those?

[00:18:42] Natalie Roeser, MD: We absolutely can. Yeah. Wow. So we have multiple ways. Our lasers will, will resurface the skin. So we can start at real low layer level, but we can also go a lot deeper depending on how deep their scars are.

[00:18:53] And we’ve had great success with it.

[00:18:55] Pete Waggoner: From the laser. This is new, right? Like not to but to here.

[00:18:59] Natalie Roeser, MD: [00:19:00] Great. No, actually it’s not. So we have had a laser. The entire time the skin center has been open. And that first laser we had for about 20 years. Wow. However, technology has changed

[00:19:11] and so Amy, who’s our skin center manager and I have spent a lot of time researching different lasers, meeting with different companies and we got the best of the best. And so we are so excited to use it. Yeah. It is the same brand as our other laser, but with so many more offerings with it and so much more.

[00:19:28] Safety features with this one, so that you’re less likely to have complications and side effects from the laser.

[00:19:35] We’ve always had a laser, but this one has more options.

[00:19:39] And it’s nice to be able to really customize what we need based on what the person wants, based on their budget, based on what their skin habits are, in terms of what products they’re already using, what they wanna start using, and if they know like. Hey, I’m not gonna take care of my skin afterwards.

[00:19:54] We know, well, that maybe isn’t the best treatment for you. We wanna do what’s best for each

[00:19:57] Carlie Kobilka: person.

[00:19:58] Pete Waggoner: I saw the word [00:20:00] laser hair removal.

[00:20:01] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah. So that’s going to use a concentrated beam of light to remove any unwanted hairs. So it’s safe for all Fitzpatrick. So all skin types, all different shades.

[00:20:13] And it’s targeting light, brown, brown and black hairs. It doesn’t target any gray blonde or white hairs.

[00:20:21] Pete Waggoner: Only dark.

[00:20:22] Carlie Kobilka: Yep, only dark hairs.

[00:20:23] Pete Waggoner: Okay. So is that not

[00:20:27] Carlie Kobilka: permanent? It’s permanent, but you have to come in for about the average person’s, about a series of six treatments.

[00:20:34] But sometimes if it’s a more dense area of hair, they may need more. Treatments after they’re six, and we always require just kind of a follow up six months after to see if they need another treatment.

[00:20:47] Pete Waggoner: Before we get into any special offerings that you have, and a few other things here, I would love to get both of your opinion on where we sit today as a society [00:21:00] and overall knowledge mm-hmm.

[00:21:02] Of skincare and treatment, like where you think that fits. And and how much more we need to really share this. Mm-hmm. We’ll start with you, doctor.

[00:21:10] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah. So that’s an interesting question because it’s very on trend that people want to take care of their skin, which is awesome. The tough part is there’s a lot around social media.

[00:21:21] Mm-hmm. That’s not correct. Yeah. When I talk to people all the time, they ask me, well, what, what would you recommend? What’s the easiest, quickest way to make my skin better? And I flat out tell ’em. It depends on what you’re looking for, but I say the most important thing you can do for your skin is wear sunscreen.

[00:21:36] That’s it. Of course, I want you to wash your face. Of course, I have a lot of other products I can recommend. And I have my favorites too, but if you wear sunscreen, that’s the most important thing you can do for your face.

[00:21:47] Pete Waggoner: Yeah. Is it ever too late to start?

[00:21:50] Natalie Roeser, MD: Never. Mm-hmm. Right. Never. I mean,

[00:21:52] Pete Waggoner: like I went my whole life without it until about 10 years ago.

[00:21:55] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah.

[00:21:55] You’ve done damage to your skin already, unfortunately, but you [00:22:00] could stop it from getting worse, right? Yeah, absolutely.

[00:22:02] Carlie Kobilka: I would always recommend if you haven’t started wearing sunscreen, to wear sunscreen, even if the sun is not out, it is present.

[00:22:11] There are free radicals in the air that are constantly going into your skin and trying to damage and break the bonds of your skin apart.

[00:22:18] Pete Waggoner: So you’re saying even though you could be fooled with like a, kind of hazy ish day.

[00:22:22] Carlie Kobilka: Mm-hmm.

[00:22:23] Pete Waggoner: Put it on because it’s still seeing through it.

[00:22:25] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah. Yep. Absolutely. Can

[00:22:26] Pete Waggoner: the sun get you through your car windshield?

[00:22:29] Natalie Roeser, MD: Absolutely, yes. I talk to patients all the time, and when we’re doing treatments, especially cosmetic treatments, I always say, you know what, we’re gonna use a little bit more filler on the left side of your face because you have more sun damage from driving in your car. Yep. Yeah. I tell people, even with your window close, even with your window close, I tell people I don’t leave my house ever without sunscreen on my face.

[00:22:48] I don’t care if it’s December, I don’t care. Or

[00:22:52] Pete Waggoner: even in the winter. Even in the winter,

[00:22:52] Natalie Roeser, MD: because I know I’m gonna get some, some sun exposure. Just my short drive to work every day.

[00:22:58] Pete Waggoner: That’s amazing.

[00:22:58] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

[00:22:59] Pete Waggoner: [00:23:00] You’ve got some really cool offers and things that we can share. Carlie, let’s start.

[00:23:05] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah, so right now we have our, our facials have a variety of different promos going on.

[00:23:11] So if you come in in March through April 30th, we have an acne facial that you get a free gift with. Some cleansing wipes, some benzoyl peroxide. And then you also get 50% off our cleanser, derm, salicylic acid cleanser, which is gonna help exfoliate your skin. You get 50% off of that the day of your treatment if you were to purchase that.

[00:23:35] And with my anti-aging in brightening facial, you also will receive a gift with that, which is a travel cleanser and a travel toner. So it’s a really good way to introduce you to our medical grade skincare line here. We have three different types. The one that you would get is the Obagi Skincare line, and our Obagi skincare line is amazing.

[00:23:55] We also have Elta MD and we do have skin Medica as [00:24:00] well, and they’re all very result driven and amazing products.

[00:24:03] Natalie Roeser, MD: I agree. I love our products. We, our most popular one is probably JI when it comes to a lot of the serums and washes and cleansers. LT MD is my favorite sunscreen. Yes. And let me tell you, I get samples of stuff to try all the time, and I keep going back to both JI and LTA MD for stuff.

[00:24:21] Mm-hmm. And I love it. We sell it here. Come get some sunscreen before you go on spring break. Don’t go on the tanning beds before you go on spring break. Just wear sunscreen. It’s 20%

[00:24:32] Carlie Kobilka: off all sunscreens this month as well. So right here, right? Yep. Right here? Yes. Stellis

[00:24:36] Health

[00:24:36] in Buffalo? Yes. So right off right by the hospital?

[00:24:40] Correct. Okay.

[00:24:41] Natalie Roeser, MD: Stellis Health, our skincare center is in the back of our building right now. You’ll be able to see signs to get there, but we are also remodeling it, and so we are gonna have a brand new entrance right at the front of our building and all new rooms. It’s gonna be beautiful. We’re very excited.

[00:24:55] Hopefully it’ll be ready this summer.

[00:24:58] Pete Waggoner: You got me going? I was ready to [00:25:00] wrap up, but I have to ask it. Yeah. You brought up the spring break in the tanning bed, so there is no such thing as getting the base. That’s not a thing. No. What? Okay. Nope. So do you Don’t get the base.

[00:25:10] Natalie Roeser, MD: Don’t get the base. I mean, you think about it, tanning beds are now banned for kids under 18.

[00:25:16] Right? Because they don’t need it. Nobody needs it. Tanning beds will make you tan, but they’ll also increase your risk of sun cancer and your increase your risk for wrinkles.

[00:25:25] Pete Waggoner: Any other last final thoughts for you two?

[00:25:28] Natalie Roeser, MD: My biggest thought was if you have questions, both medical or cosmetic, just come in and set up a consult.

[00:25:34] You can see me, any of our other doctors, our PAs. You can see Carlie for all of your cosmetic concerns, or the doctors as well for the cosmetic concerns. We would love to see you. Any question is okay. And it’s okay if you, we come in and, and you’re not sure what you want, we can help you with that.

[00:25:50] Carlie Kobilka: Yeah, and I always recommend too, if you do come in for a cosmetic consultation, you can even bring in the skincare products that you currently have.

[00:25:58] And as we’re [00:26:00] talking, you can kind of address what concerns you have and I can let you know what products will actually address and help your concerns.

[00:26:07] Pete Waggoner: You two are really easy to speak with. Thanks. Thanks. And everybody should know they come in, they’re gonna be welcomed and everything can be taken care of.

[00:26:15] I feel very comfortable speaking with the two of you, and I hope everybody would take that opportunity to share some time with you to help their skin health.

[00:26:24] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah. Give us a call, come in for a consult. Mm-hmm. Our number, 7 6 3 6 8 4 3 7 0 0. Any of us at the Stellis Health Medical Skincare Center would love to.

[00:26:35] To meet you. Why don’t you throw out

[00:26:37] Pete Waggoner: the physical address too?

[00:26:38] Natalie Roeser, MD: Yeah. 1700 Highway 25 North in Buffalo. We’re in the Stellis Health Clinic. Mm-hmm. And we’d be happy to see you anytime. You can even call the regular main line for the clinic and they can transfer you back to the, to the skin center.

[00:26:52] Carlie Kobilka: Thank you guys so much for listening. If you have any additional questions, never hesitate to call us. We would love to help you.
