Brenna McKelvey, PA-C

Urgent Care

“My approach to patient care begins with listening to the patient’s story and discerning potential causes. I discuss with the patient the different options there are for treatment and use shared decision making with the patient to decide the best course of action. My goal is for our plan to be individualized to each patient’s needs. My patient care centers on compassion, empathy, and holistic well-being. I prioritize listening to patients, treating the whole person, and fostering open communication. Ultimately, I aim to empower patients, promote health equity, and provide support throughout their care journey.”

What brought you to the area?

I have lived in Minnesota my entire life and moved to the northwest part of the cities during my PA training. I am excited to work in an area that reminds me of where I grew up.

Do you have any special areas of interest in medicine?

I am interested in preventative care, women’s health, diabetes and weight management.

What would you like your patients to know about your approach to patient care?

My approach to patient care begins with listening to the patient’s story and discerning potential causes. I discuss with the patient the different options there are for treatment and use shared decision making with the patient to decide the best course of action. My goal is for our plan to be individualized to each patient’s needs.

What can patients expect when they meet/see you in the exam room?

Patients can expect to be met with an open environment where they will be listened to and heard. I want my patients to feel comfortable when they are meeting with me and to feel how much I care about their health.
