What brought you to the area?
I have family ties in this area. I also had a desire to move to a smaller and quieter town after training in the metro area. I grew up near Wadena, MN, a rural community similar to the Buffalo area.
Do you have any special areas of interest in medicine?
Family medicine provides an opportunity to see people across the age spectrum, young to old, and a large variety of conditions, which I enjoy. I do have a special interest in the field of pediatrics.
What would you like your patients to know about your approach to patient care?
I try to prioritize listening to patients and parents. I have been described as soft-spoken. I converse, provide explanations of medical conditions and treatments, and advise with fewer words. I may not have an immediate answer, but I will turn to colleagues near and far, use trusted up-to-date resources and literature, and refer to experts to help find answers.

I enjoy spending free time with my wife and children. We are often with other family and friends and enjoy traveling when it works. We especially like getting outdoors when we do activities. In the evenings, you might find us out on a walk or bike ride around the neighborhood.
