What brought you to the area?
The combination of small-town charm and strong family ties create a wonderful environment for both personal and professional growth. I worked in the Monticello community after completing my undergraduate degree and being able to work and interact with families in the area helped build meaningful relationships and immerse in the local culture. The scenic beauty of the area, along with the friendly people, definitely makes Monticello a unique place to work.
Do you have any special areas of interest in medicine?
I have always had a strong passion for women’s health. The journey through different life stages, from adolescence to menopause, encompasses so many profound experiences and challenges. Supporting patients through significant moments like prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care is an incredibly profound component of my professional practice. I have a deep appreciation for the remarkable capabilities of the female physiology and the impact it has on the creation of life.

What would you like your patients to know about your approach to patient care?
I prioritize a comprehensive perspective in patient care, which is essential for understanding the interconnectedness of various health aspects of both the individual and family unit. By adopting a holistic approach, I better address the unique needs of each woman and family, fostering both physical and emotional well-being. Empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare is a vital aspect of effective treatment. By providing knowledge and options, I help patients make informed decisions that align with their values and circumstances. This collaborative approach not only fosters trust but also encourages patients to be more engaged in their health journeys.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have three wonderful children. We reside in the Elk River area and my husband and I are enjoying our current phase of life watching our children explore their many passions in various sports and activities. When we do have spare time we enjoy traveling, playing games, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time together with friends and family. We are always up for an adventure!
