“A person is a person no matter how small. – Dr. Seuss”
What brought you to the area?
I moved back here to be closer to my family who are all from Minnesota originally. My dad was in the Air Force and I’ve lived in six states, so it feels great to finally be able to move back and settle down where I have always considered to be my home and serve the community here.
Do you have any special areas of interest in medicine?
I love taking care of children at all ages and stages, each one brings something different and unique. I do particularly enjoy the early years of childhood when development is so critical and rapidly changing.
What would you like your patients to know about your approach to patient care?
I feel that medicine is a team sport. That means that I want parents to be involved in medical decision making for their children and feel confident that they have the information needed to make those decisions. I always strive to present information and what options are available, but also convey when I have a concern. I also want you to know that if I don’t have the answer I will research it or help get in touch with specialists so that your child has the best care possible.
What can patients expect when they meet/see you in the exam room?
I genuinely am excited to see my patients each day and love to hear about life and updates first. We will then discuss either what concerns brought you in or go through a well visit addressing various aspects of growth, development and overall health and safety. Finally I will perform a physical exam and discuss next steps or treatment. I always like to end on ensuring I’ve answered any and all questions you may have.
