Doctorate of nursing practice and certified family nurse practitioner Chris Elness, DNP, recently joined Stellis Health. “We are excited to welcome Chris to our medical team,” says Brent Wilde, CEO of Stellis Health. “He is a tremendous addition to our clinic and community, particularly his extensive experience in orthopedic care.”
“I strive to deliver the highest quality, holistic orthopedic care to my patients and their families,” says Chris Elness, DNP. “I approach each patient individually and strive to provide tailored care that takes into account the bigger clinical picture.” Chris has a special interest and extensive experience in orthopedic care including casting, splinting, joint injections/aspirations as well as retraction and arthroscope management.
For the past nine years, Chris has been practicing at Fairview Health Services where he was named Advanced Practice Provider of the Year. Chris completed his doctorate of nursing practice as a family nurse practitioner at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN and his bachelors in nursing at Excelsior College in Albany, NY. He also has an associates in paramedicine and registered nursing. And, he served as an adjunct professor in the graduate nursing department at the College of St. Scholastica.
On a personal note, Chris enjoys year-round bicycling, cross-country skiing and keeping up with his four children.
