Pediatrician Joseph Mahoney, MD, was recently honored with the Preceptor of the Year Award at Bethel University where he precepted nine of the 31 graduates. Selected by the physician assistant students to receive this distinct award, Dr. Mahoney was recognized by the graduating class and faculty during their White Coat Graduation Ceremony on August 5th.
Stellis Health has a long history of mentoring medical students through various schools including the Rural Physician Assistants Program (RPAP) at the University of Minnesota. Stellis Health physicians have trained a variety of students studying to become nurse practitioners and physician assistants. They have also trained residents in family medicine as well as pediatrics. In fact, several of the current Stellis Health providers were trained at Stellis Health.
