Glenn Nemec, MD, was voted by colleagues from around the state to serve as President of the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians that supports over 3,200 passionate family doctors as they provide high quality, comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages. Dr. Nemec will serve as president of this prestigious state association through June 2019.
“My goal for the year is to increase awareness that family physicians are trained differently than any other specialty,” says Glenn Nemec, MD, family medicine physician at Stellis Health. “Because our training is focused on the whole patient, we are much more able to manage patients’ problems in a way that is best for their overall health. And, we do it for a lot less money. Better overall care for less money is what our medical care system badly needs today. So, if you have a family physician, you are already ahead of the game.”
