Amanda Zehrer, MD Joins Women’s Health Team at Stellis Health

Amanda Zehrer, MD, recently joined the women’s health team at Stellis Health. As an OB/GYN specialist, Dr. Zehrer cares for women throughout their pregnancy from planning to delivery and postpartum care. Her GYN practice includes annual wellness visits, incontinence care, menstrual issues, hysterectomy and ablation surgeries and much more. “We’re excited to have Dr. Zehrer join our medical staff and community,” says Douglas Hanson, MPA, CEO of Stellis Health. “From prenatal care and preventative health to managing acute and chronic illness, Dr. Zehrer cares for women of all ages, in both sickness and health.”

“As a knowledgeable mentor to my patients, I assess her healthcare needs, provide education on available options, and together we decide what is best for her,” says Dr. Zehrer. “This empowers my patients to take control of their healthcare and be comfortable with the chosen treatment plan.”

Dr. Zehrer completed her residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania. She attended medical school at American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten.

“I’m originally from Minneapolis and my husband is from Melrose, so we like the perfect balance between being in a small town as well as having bigger city qualities,” says Dr. Zehrer. “I like the diversity of housing, shopping and dining and look forward to discovering more about the area. But one thing I know already is this a friendly and supportive community that I’m proud to be a part of.” In her free time, Dr. Zehrer enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with her husband including hiking, gardening, campfires, skiing/snowboarding, and being with friends and family. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and cuddling with their cat.
