Family Medicine Physician Heidi Nichol, MD, MPH recently joined Stellis Health – Monticello Clinic. “We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Nichol to our medical staff and community,” says Douglas Hanson, MPA, CEO of Stellis Health. “She is interested in practicing in a smaller community and will provide full spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics.”
“I consider is a great privilege to establish caring, long-term relationships with patients and families in order to help each person enjoy the highest possible quality of life,” says Dr. Nichol. With special interests in preventative care, obstetrics and pediatrics, she can care for the entire family throughout their lifespan.
Raised in East Africa and a small New York town, Dr. Nichol married a Minnesotan and is proud to call Minnesota her adopted home. She received her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Minnesota, St. John’s Hospital. Dr. Nichol also has a master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota. Her bachelor’s degree in biology and studio art is from St. Olaf College.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Nichol is also certified in pediatric, neonatal and cardiac advanced life support along with advanced life support in obstetrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, children Isaac and Hannah, as well as running, woodworking and exploring Minnesota state parks.
